Now, you’re probably thinking to yourself, “What even is “Pink Cloud????”.

The term “Pink Cloud” is often used in the context of addiction recovery, particularly in relation to individuals who are newly sober from alcohol. It refers to a phase in early recovery when a person experiences a heightened sense of euphoria, optimism, and overall well-being. During this phase, individuals may feel an overwhelming sense of positivity and relief as they begin to see positive changes in their lives after giving up substances.

The Pink Cloud phenomenon is characterised by a temporary emotional high, a sense of accomplishment, and a positive outlook on life. However, it’s important to note that this phase is not a permanent state, and individuals may eventually face the reality of ongoing challenges in recovery. But this is where we come in!

The Pink Cloud app is being launched in the second half of 2024 – but while we are getting all of the creases ironed out, we wanted to open the journey up to everyone so we could really build a community of people who want to be free from alcohol overuse in 2024. We believe we have the tools, support and resources to set you up for success.

Until the app is launched (so exciting!!!) we will keep you in touch with the latest research, personal blogs written by me, and posts on how you can keep yourself thriving in your day to day life, regardless of your recovery process.

I’m Mila, a 30-year-old woman from Canberra, Australia. I recently decided to bid farewell to alcohol and embrace the incredible power of sobriety. I’ve struggled with addiction for well over 18 years and I’m finally free!
This decision has not only changed my life but has ignited a passion to support other women on their path to recovery, walking hand in hand facing those on-going challenges.

For years, alcohol was a constant companion, an escape from life’s challenges and a vice to “fill the void”.
However, as I hit my thirties, I realized it was time to break free from the shackles of dependency and redefine my relationship with alcohol and most importantly, myself.

The decision to quit wasn’t easy, and the journey has been filled with both triumphs and challenges.

Weekly, I’ll share my personal (and sometimes very personal) experiences, insights, and the strategies that have helped me navigate this profound lifestyle change. But more importantly, I want to create a space where women supporting women becomes the driving force behind each success story. I also will give you scientific research about the ongoing health benefits, but also the implications of continuing the lifestyle that is in an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. I’ll provide daily encouragement, self-care practices, and also a whole library of resources to help you take your journey into your own hands once you feel ready to run on and off without us here at Pink Cloud 🙂

I want to add that, quitting alcohol is not just about saying no to drinks; it’s a holistic journey that involves reshaping our mindset, finding healthier coping mechanisms, and building a strong support system. I am determined to break the stigma surrounding sobriety and show that living alcohol-free is not only possible but can lead to a life of fulfilment, joy, and authenticity.

I mean, can you believe I said no to Christmas cake with alcohol in it and got SHAMED by the family, because I refused alcohol?!

The sad thing is that you probably would believe it. (also, there will be blogs on tips and articles provided on how to deal with boundaries within family, hurts from particular family members and breaking free from generational patterns)

Alcohol use is so embedded in our society, and we really need to change this. Hopefully we resilient ones can step out and break the stigma in living completely alcohol-free.

Our heart here at Pink Cloud is to offer a sense of hope and community for women at various stages of their sobriety.

Let’s celebrate the victories, discuss the challenges openly, and most importantly, encourage one another to reach new heights of strength and resilience, and unlock the incredible potential that lies within us.

Anyway, stay tuned, I look forward to supporting you on your path to a life of clarity, purpose, with shared triumphs!

With Love,

Mila xx
